Volunteer for Science Outreach Volunteers are frequently needed for new outreach programs at area schools and community programs. Start now preparing an engaging session for elementary, middle, or high school students. Volunteers are needed for Astrophysical Sciences, Center for Statistics and Machine Learning, Chemistry, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Geosciences, Mathematics, Molecular Biology, Physics, Princeton Neuroscience Institute, and Psychology. The purpose of Science Outreach at Princeton University is to address the gap of students who historically have not had broad access or sustained exposure to activities that define a research university. Science Outreach will facilitate mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships between Princeton University science academic departments on the one hand, and local K-12 school districts, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders on the other. This will serve and enhance the local community, the state, and the nation, which are central to Princeton’s mission.
