K-12 schools and community organizations are an essential part of the Science Outreach initiative. Our science academic community is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, researchers, and faculty who would like to introduce students to innovative science with hands-on activities and small-group presentations. Science Outreach will connect with schools and community groups with engaging opportunities.

Spring Into Science 2025 Student Registration opens March 14, 2025 for students in 4th - 10th grades.
For local K-12 school districts, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders
Science Outreach will facilitate mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships between Princeton University Science educators and researchers on the one hand, and local K-12 school districts, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders on the other. Science Outreach serves as a nexus connecting faculty, students, and postdocs with youth, schoolteachers, nonprofit organizations, and the broader community with the goals of increasing engagement, participation, equity, and inclusion in STEM fields.
Please fill out the request form at least one to two months before your scheduled event to give the academic department time to promote your event internally.
Outreach engagement includes age-appropriate hands-on experiences designed to learn more about one of the academic disciplines listed below. Experiences include engaging experiments, science fairs, judging science fairs, research talks, club organization (ex. math club), research mentoring, and career paths and panels. Based on the discipline you are interested in, specific experiences can be shared to tailor an experience for your class. Tours and field trips can be arranged.

Students (4th - 10th graders) and their families are invited to attend Spring Into Science on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the Frick Atrium from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Students will visit tabletop activities and hands-on demonstrations, listen to research talks, and engage scientists and engage scientists.

Specific learning opportunities can be curated for your class or program. Please use the Science Outreach Request Form to request an opportunity.
