Project Title: Hurricane Risk Forecasting System
Project Summary: We are building a real-time forecasting system of hurricane risk, including hurricane winds, storm surge, and rainfall hazards, economic impact, and power outage. The system can help locate areas at risk before hurricanes make landfall. The research includes hurricane and hazards modeling components and website design components.
Student Roles and Responsibilities: The intern may help develop hazard modeling components or design the user-interactive website
Additional Considerations: Background in earth science, environmental science, or computer science is preferred.
Start and end dates are flexible, but the student should be available essentially full-time (at least 35 hours/week)
